BAILLIE HENDERSON HOSPITAL TOUR

BAILLIE HENDERSON HOSPITAL TOUR

  • Shadow Health and Ambulance Services Minister visits Toowoomba
  • Have your say on a new Toowoomba Hospital

I recently visited the Baillie Henderson Hospital with my colleague John-Paul Langbroek, Shadow Minister for Health and Ambulance Services.

It was great to have the opportunity to meet with and to hear first-hand from our hard-working and dedicated front line staff along with their management teams about the challenges they face and their commitment to the health care needs of our local community.

Mr Langbroek stated “Baillie Henderson Hospital has had a lot of change over the past 30-40 years where there has been different services offered and facilities here that have been used in different forms which is an important part of making sure we don’t stand still and thoroughly look at the services we are offering here in the Toowoomba region.  To view video click here https://vimeo.com/225053109

There is a lot of pressure on the Toowoomba Hospital and we need to make sure we have a proper plan for the future.

It was great to have the Shadow Minister visit so he could get an idea of the size of this site, its potential and the facilities it currently has and those still in use.  Together going forward we will make sure that the people of Toowoomba and Darling Downs get the health and hospital services they desire.

Mr Langbroek went on to say “something that our governments have always been proud of doing – looking at the past, learning from that and moving onto the future to make sure that people like Trevor Watts representing his local community can make sure that the facilities and local infrastructure whether it is hospitals, roads or schools is being provided for the future.

Our region deserves and needs the best possible health and hospital facilities to service our needs, both now and into the future.
