Toowoomba’s public health system is under enormous pressure. The Labor Government have spent the past five years focusing on politics rather than patient care, which has blown out emergency wait times and caused ambulance ramping to spiral out of control across the state.

In Toowoomba, the public health system is already at capacity. The Toowoomba Hospital building is also nearing the end of its life.

The LNP understands the importance of future-proofing our public health system. That’s why we have a plan to invest in more public health infrastructure to keep pace with our region’s growing needs and attract more health specialists to deliver world-class health care to local residents.

The LNP is also committed to reprioritising patient care by putting an end to wasteful spending in the public health system and partnering with private hospitals to ensure surgeries are completed on time and at no cost to patients.
