On the fifth day of the 12 Days of Christmas Community Giving Campaign, LNP Member for Toowoomba North Trevor Watts swapped his work boots for gumboots to help the RSPCA Toowoomba team clean out cages and take dogs for their morning exercise.
Mr Watts said the team at RSPCA Toowoomba do an amazing job, caring for and rehoming more than 1,400 animals each year.
“More volunteers are always needed to give the animals the care and attention they need every day,” Mr Watts said.
“To register as a volunteer for RSPCA Toowoomba, visit https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/volunteer.
“You can also help the RSPCA in other ways, by buying pet food and other care items including kitty litter.
“A large number of dogs and cats have arrived at the shelter over the past few days, which is also a timely reminder to people to ensure your pets are desexed.”
Mr Watts commended the RSPCA and all of the community and not-for-profit organisations across Toowoomba North for their ongoing work.
