On the fourth day of the 12 Days of Christmas Community Giving Campaign, LNP Member for Toowoomba North Trevor Watts has lent a helping hand at the admission gate of Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland.
Now in its 16thyear, Mr Watts said Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland has become one of our region’s signature festive season events.
“It takes around 6,000 volunteer hours to build the Christmas Wonderland display,” Mr Watts said.
“It’s easy to see why people travel far and wide to get a glimpse of Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland.
“This year’s display includes extensions to the Australiana and international exhibits, as well as a Parterre garden.
“Gold coin entry donations from this year’s Christmas Wonderland will support major beneficiaries, Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Qld Ltd, Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and Toowoomba Hospice.”
Mr Watts commended all of the Christmas Wonderland organisers and volunteers for their hard work.
“The money raised will ensure community and not-for-profit organisations like Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Qld Ltd, Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and Toowoomba Hospice can continue their important work and offer support to those in need this Christmas,” he said.
