ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY HARLAXTON KIDS
  • Schools Tree Day
  • Harlaxton kids looking after the school environment
  • Lilly Pilly tree for bush food garden

It was a great pleasure to visit Harlaxton State School as part of Schools Tree Day 2017.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the students during their NAIDOC celebrations and I was grateful for the helping hand from students’ Latrell, Preston, Evelyn and Kirra in the planting a Lilly Pillytree, which will not only beautify the school’s gardens but will be a great addition for their bush food garden.

“National Tree Day” provides all Australians with an opportunity to do something positive for the environment and reconnect with nature.

National Tree Day provides an opportunity for all Australians to help out by planting and caring for native trees and shrubs to improve the environment in which they live.

Schools Tree Day is a wonderful opportunity for the students to make a contribution to Australia’s natural environment, make their school look beautiful, get their hands dirty and have lots of fun at the same time.
