LNP to deliver flashing school signs to improve safety in Toowoomba North

28 October 2020

An LNP Government will deliver flashing school zone signs at Mater Dei Primary School and Highfields State Secondary College if the LNP wins the next state election.

The announcement was made today by LNP Member for Toowoomba North Trevor Watts.

Mr Watts said the new flashing school zone signs would be installed on Mackenzie Street and O’Brien Road which are two of the busiest thoroughfares in Toowoomba and Highfields, especially during peak hour.

“These new signs will greatly improve the safety of students, parents and the wider school community,” Mr Watts said.

“It will also give motorists greater visibility and awareness as they travel through these areas during school pick up and drop off periods.”

This announcement is an important part of Deb Frecklington and the LNP’s commitment to education in Toowoomba North.
