LNP to deliver North and Ruthven Street intersection upgrade

LNP TO DELIVER NORTH AND RUTHVEN STREET INTERSECTION UPGRADE

I am pleased to announce that an LNP Government will invest $5million for vital upgrades to bust congestion at the North and Ruthven Streets intersection.

For far too long the Toowoomba community has been stuck sitting in traffic because Annastacia Palaszczuk has done nothing to fix congestion.

The LNP Government will invest $5 million to reconfigure the intersection of North and Ruthven Streets.

Over recent years this junction has seen significant traffic increases resulting in delays.

Turning lanes are required to reduce congestion and get Toowoomba residents to work and home sooner.

Instead of sitting around talking about building infrastructure like Annastacia Palaszczuk, and then doing nothing, the LNP has put its money where its mouth is and will deliver this project.

LNP Leader Tim Nicholls said Annastacia Palaszczuk had done nothing over the past three years to improve liveability in Toowoomba North.

“The LNP has listened to the concerns of locals and committed to funding and building this vital community project,” Mr Nicholls said.

“Labor’s Kerry Shine likes to tell everyone his achievements but in reality, you could hold them in a napkin.

“A vote for anyone other than the LNP will see a return of a do-nothing Kerry Shine who has the wrong priorities and has always taken the people of Toowoomba North for granted.

“Upgrading the North and Ruthven Streets intersection is all part of our plan to Build a Better Queensland by Building a Better Toowoomba North.”
