An LNP Government will inject $10,000 into Neighbourhood Watch in Toowoomba North if it wins the next state election.
LNP Member for Toowoomba North Trevor Watts said the funding would support grassroots community safety initiatives that reduce crime and enhance the partnership between community and local police.
“Neighbourhood Watch fosters safer communities through community connection,” Mr Watts said.
“This investment will help reduce the rate of crime in our community through education and the development of safety resources for residents.
“This $10,000 investment will complement the LNPs $1.5 million investment in Crime Stoppers.
“An LNP government will end Labor’s soft on crime approach and crack down on crime in our communities.”
