Nominations now open for 2019 Queensland Youth Parliament

LNP Member for Toowoomba North Trevor Watts is calling on young people between the ages of 15 and 25 to nominate to represent the Toowoomba North Electorate in the 2019 YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament.

Now in its 24th year, Mr Watts said the YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament gives young people an excellent opportunity to understand more about parliamentary processes and make their voices heard during lively debates on topical issues.

“Since its inception, the YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament has helped harness the passion our young people share for driving positive change and representing their communities and their peers,” Mr Watts said.

“For young people, especially those from regional communities, the YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament is an invaluable experience which inspires confidence and leadership skills in the next generation of community representatives.”

Nominations close on February 22.
