The Right Plan for Toowoomba North: Investing in Our Community’s Future

As we approach election day, Trevor Watts MP and a Crisafulli LNP Government are delivering on their promise to provide A Fresh Start for Queensland. We’re committed to practical and impactful improvements for Toowoomba North, with targeted investments that will benefit families, schools, and local sports communities. Here’s what’s on the horizon:

  1. $1 Million for School Safety Road Upgrades
The safety of our children is paramount, and this $1 million investment will make a big difference. By upgrading road safety infrastructure around schools, we will relieve the stress of the daily school commute and ensure safer journeys for students, parents, and staff. These upgrades will include vital safety improvements in areas like Wilsonton, Newtown, and Highfields, while working closely with Council to explore options for traffic management in Mount Lofty and East Toowoomba.
  2. $100,000 for Highfields Congestion Busting
We know how important it is to get traffic flowing smoothly in Highfields. That’s why we’re committing $100,000 to a business case that will identify congestion-busting solutions. This is a crucial step towards delivering infrastructure that will reduce travel times and make daily commutes easier for everyone.
  3. Supporting Local Sport: $10,000 for Highfields Netball
Sport is the heartbeat of our community, and we’re supporting the future growth of netball in the region. Our $10,000 commitment will fund planning and soil assessments for the Highfields and Districts Netball Association, setting the foundation for much-needed improvements to local sports facilities.

These investments are part of the LNP’s broader vision for A Fresh Start and the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future. On October 26, vote 1 LNP to bring real change and progress to Toowoomba North. Together, we can ensure our region thrives with the safe, efficient, and vibrant community it deserves.
